The developer of the remake, Aspyr, has put out a job listing looking for a lead combat designer with one of the essential functions of the position regarding building interesting encounters that challenge the player's skill and strategy. These fans have finally gotten their wish, however, the remake of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is reportedly planning to do some things a little differently. Hence, why many fans of the game have been calling for a remake for years at this point.

Well I hope I am not too general as I tried to make as many comments without giving away any of the story. I did not spend that much time on the swoops the first time around.

I think some of the race are bugged when it comes to times on the Xbox version, hopefully this will be fixed in the PC release. Yes, it is much more difficult, and it will get frustrating. Swoop racing is a mixed bag, it is much different than before.
I usually make my rounds of Pazaak during the second play through. Pazaak for the most part remains unchanged, with a few new cards and people to play with. There are some, but their difficulty was a little easier. There is not the multitude of puzzles and side quests as there was in the first.
Now this is where I was sort of let down. Overall just new stuff nothing that really caught my attention compared to the first. There are a couple of planets that stand out which include Onderon and Nar Shaadaa, either way I think all the planets were laid out nicely except for Korriban, which was a let down IMO. The republic is in ruins and you will find some shady places in this galaxy. "Meatbag"Ī few planets return, but overall almost all new places to explore. For a quick laugh, HK-47 is in the game, and is just as funny as before. Still there is a good mixiture of people onboard and YOU WILL have to use almost all of them at one point or another. Also do not worry no more Carth to nag you till the world ends. Many of your new party members are somewhat similiar in attitude, but I do not think there was anyone who stood out such as Bastilla did in the first. I enjoyed the party members in KOTOR 1, that it would be hard to replace them. Either way its on par with the first, because I can not seem to get tired of running through masses of people slicing them down the lightsaber. The story will drive you through much of the game, but there will be many more times were you will be severly outnumbered and it gets sort of frustrating. The awesomeness factor is gone in KOTOR 2 compared to the first, and the game is much darker. Either way if you enjoyed the combat system the first time, you are in for a treat. So in terms of gameplay KOTOR 2 gets the nod for little improvements over the original combat system. As well as new force powers you get different lightsaber forms, you will find yourself not really using them that much. You do get some new force powers of course and you will use them sparingly. Not much has changed in terms of combat and interaction, so I doubt anyone will be in a surprise. In neither of the games through the first time through did I complete every quest.
KOTOR 2 took about 34 hours, both were done on the light side. My orginial play though of KOTOR was around 31 hours. Which most of you are either saying AWESOME!, or holy crap this is a long game. This is something that many people have asked me about, and of course this is always different for most people, this one runs right on par with the original in terms of length. NOTE* Yes the ending is not quite as twisted as KOTOR 1, its still very unique.
Still I do not think any fan of the orginal will dislike the second. Even though I appreciate the changes that the second game has brung to a usual easily recognized "Tom Clancy" plots. Compared to the original KOTOR? This would be like comparing apples and oranges, but in my own opinion I enjoyed the original KOTOR story a little more. If you are used to the tradtional story lines of the Star Wars movies this one will give you an eye opener. This one is truly out there, in terms of the normal Star Wars storylines. Wow what can I say, this story compares nothing to anything I have ever read or heard of in the Star Wars Universe. Other questions below may possibly have spoilers NOTICE BELOW NO SPOILERS, just gerneal opinions. Well, I have finally beaten KOTOR 2 and as promised my review of the game on the XBOX console, for the light side, on difficulty level of normal.
